Boarding & Grooming

Boarding

Our hospital offers cat, dog, ferret, bird, and rabbit boarding available for existing patients in a clean safe environment. Is your pet on medication? That is not a problem. We have a skilled staff that will make sure your pet receives his/her medication properly. We are a full-service hospital and will take special care to advise the doctors immediately of any problems during their stay. Guests must be spayed/neutered, flea negative and current on vaccinations and fecal testing as per Central Vet Hospital policy. Early drops off and after-hours pick-up arrangements are possible. Drop off times are between 7am-4:30pm Monday-Friday and 7:30am-12pm on Saturday. After-hours pick up available on Saturday and Sunday’s but needs to be arranged in advance.  Call for more information or to make a reservation.

CANINE: A trial day will be required prior to schedule any boarding to ensure your pet adjusts well to the kennel. Dogs are walked 3 times daily in our secure fenced area. They are fed twice daily and we will gladly accommodate different feeding schedules. We also offer additional playtime in our over 1600 Sq Ft of indoor play area for those dogs who need to get out and play daily.  All playtime for boarders or our day care attendees is one-on-one with a staff member.  Any dog staying 4 days or longer will receive a complimentary bath and nail trim the day they go home.

Feline: Cats are boarded in our kitty condo room. This sun-filled room dedicated to cats only is away from the hospital activity and barking dogs. Our kitty condos are specially designed wood-grain Shor-line cat condo units with separate play areas with up to five interconnecting suites. Each with private litterbox area and perching shelves. Condos all face outwards so no guest is in direct sight of the other. Guests can stretch their legs out in the spacious open area and use the cushioned chairs, windows or cat tree for hours of napping. Feline Leukemia/ Feline Aids boarders are given special care in our separate isolation area.

Grooming

Just like you, your pet needs a certain amount of maintenance to look and feel their best. The type of grooming and frequency your pet requires depends upon the breed. At CVH we offer bathing, gland expression, ear cleaning and nail trims. For our long-haired canine friends that need trimming, unfortunately our in-house groomer is not accepting new clients due to a fully booked schedule.

For your feline friend we offer sedated lion-cuts done by one of our skilled technicians for our "not so happy to be groomed pets". We also offer nail trims and sanitary clips.
