Michel B. Hardaker, DVM • Owner

Hometown: Hudson, NY

Dr. Hardaker attended Cornell University for her undergraduate degree in Animal Science with honors. She received her DVM with honors from Auburn University. Dr. Hardaker spent a year in equine medicine before starting at Central Veterinary Hospital in 1988. She has owned and operated CVH since 1990. Dr. Hardaker met her husband while studying abroad and they share four children. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, farm animals, sewing, gardening, physical fitness and training. Her veterinary interest included surgery of any kind and assisting local rescue groups. Dr. Hardaker is a USDA Accredited veterinarian and a current member of Capital District Veterinary Medical Society and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Rachel Hennings, DVM

Hometown: Colonie, NY

Dr. Hennings studied at Findlay University to earn her undergraduate degree. She received her DVM from The University of Sydney in Australia.  She worked at Sylvania Veterinary Hospital in Australia for ten years before returning to the US and joining our team. Outside of work Dr. Hennings enjoys reading, baking, crossword puzzles and watching the NFL. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, emergency and critical care medicine. She is an active member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Anna St. Sir, DVM

Hometown: Ballston Lake, NY

Dr. St. Sir attended Moscow State University and earned her DVM with honors. She worked in a mixed animal veterinary practice in Russia, and is currently working at Central Veterinary Hospital and Rotterdam Veterinary Hospital. Outside of work Dr. St. Sir enjoys spending time with her husband and son along with gardening, crocheting toys and cross-country skiing. Her veterinary interests include surgery, dentistry and ultrasonography.  She is an active member of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Karen krause, dvm

Hometown: Emerson, NJ & Saltzgitter, Germany

Dr. Krause received her Bachelors in Biology from Cornell University. She earned her DVM at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a part of our team at CVH since 1992. She also works as Attending Veterinarian at Albany Medical College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and GE Health Care. Outside of work, Dr. Krause enjoys her pets (1 dog, 2 cats, 1 parrot, and 5 chickens), snowboarding, camping, canoeing, hiking, traveling and gourmet cooking.  Dr. Krause also has a special interest in exotics and treats birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs and more. She is a current member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and American Association for Laboratory Animal Science.
